History of Franklin Paint

March 23, 1946 - FRANKLIN PAINT BEGINS

Maurice S. Herbert and Edward A. Monier sign an agreement of partnership as The Franklin Paint Company. They purchase an old 5,000 square foot woolen textile mill in Franklin, Massachusetts and hire 3 employees.
1960 - FRANKLIN PAINT GROWS

​Franklin Paint quickly outgrows the original, small plant so they move across town to a 50,000 square foot facility. During this time, the company begins producing Field Marking Paint.
1995 - EQUIPMENT DIVISION ADDED

September 13, 2013 - NEW OWNERSHIP

Larry Boise and Steve Schultz take over as       co-owners.
APRIL 14, 2015- FRANKLIN PAINT RECOGNIZED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP

Franklin Paint Company becomes one of nine local companies from Massachusetts to be given an award to recognize their environmental leadership. Franklin Paint was awarded this prestigious honor because of their commitment to making safer paint by reducing or eliminating toxic chemicals from the formulas.
